8 years is a long time, My ex and I have been apart for 4 years, she's recently moved near me with her fiance! I see them on a regular basis, im not sure that he knows who i am though, i was introduced as "an old friend".

Thank you for your comment on my poem, It's nice to know that others have been through it. I am currently going through the whole, first love is back in my life, but we have to just be friends. It's hard.
