Hi, I'm Rene Figueroa. I write poems, draw, paint, design (clothes), sing, perform, act, write songs, dance, film, promote (bands, among other promo-seeking-parties), party-planner, executive CEO of A THOUSAND WORDS PUBLISHING COMPANY (my own pusblishing company where I have copyrights and ownership of any piece of literature or writing I do, whether it's poem, song, lyric, story, or sentence, picture design, photos, clothing designs, etc.), I am also planning to become a psychologist, thus I try to help friend and hearing their problems, like a shoulder to lean kinda guy. Also I'm in massage therapist, so if I have a session with u, ur gonna gfeel relaxed not just mentally but physically. POET: I've written about 100+ poems, along with several collaborations with poets around the world, thanks to TESTRIFFIC, and friends I've grown up with. Since I want to be a POP/ROCK STAR somewhere down the road, I "release" my poems in sets as if they were albums. Each one consisting of 10-14 poems which also features cover-art(made by myself with photoshop or picnik) for each poem and for the overall collection as a whole (ie. album cover, and single covers). (It's odd I know, but it's fun too). SONGWRITTING: I've written a few songs for local bands, and was signed (then dropped) from a Record Label, due to creative differences. But I'm still writting, as I do everyday. ALTER-EGO: This is mainly used as Pseudonames/Pen Names. I have 2 different pen names, which are also on this website. And the type of poems that are featured on those two other profiles don't really fit my actual likes, dislikes, personality, or my essence, thus a pen name is used to properly fit it with the different types/form of art I write. Q's? Ask Me. SINGER: I've lended my voice in a couple of songs I've co-written. I've been featured in 2 rap songs, singing the chorus/hook. And I've provided the background vocals for some songs as well. It's not high-profiled at all just local bands and for fun. it's a hobby. PERFORMER: I'm set to perform 2 songs (one original) in the upcoming county fair. First solo performance since my hey-day's in my high school's showchoir. ACTOR: I've been auditioning for several independent films, and small budget films (VERY SMALL). I'm in the midst of closing a deal (this means, they own the movie, distribution, and the character (wom I'm playing) rights) for a 2 mini-movie role with a popular youtube channel. n_n wish me luck!
