Sky's Plateau
Plateau in the Sky
I found my plateau today
And I fell right on my face.
Thinking I'll just lay here now
Staring at the ground.
Wondering If I should get up.
Or just stay down.
Thinking,
What does it take to break a man?
Well I wouldn't know.
I reached my limit today ,
And the sky spit in my face.
Thinking I'll just lay here now
Staring at the clouds.
Pondering if I should wake up
Or keep my dreams around.
Thinking,
What does it take to break a man down?
Well I wouldn't know
None of that matters now...
Now I'm afraid to speak my mind.
I've plateaued again.
Now I'm afraid to mind my speech
I've come to the edge again.
Time to get up.
Time to wake up.
Onto my feet I rise,
Onto the mountain I climb.
Gravity will never again
keep me down.
And when I do reach the sky,
I will never turn around.
Limits are only in the mind ,
As far as the eyes of tomorrow can see.
Limits are only in the mind
As far as one will let themselves believe.
If I find my plateau
If it ever crosses my way.
If I ever find my plateau
I will fly away.
