Bonds Of Blood Chapter 20 (Finale)
A few months later the school bell rung. "Have a wonderful summer class." The teacher said as the students began to leave. "Hey Amora!" Kelley said walking up to a locker. "Oh hey Kelley." Amora said flatly. "Hey you alright?" Kelley asked. "I'm fine..." Amora said. Amora then turned. "Let's go the bus will leave soon." Amora said closing her locker. Later on the bus. "Hey Amora are you alright you've been kinda down today." Kelley said. "I'm fine just..." Amora stopped. "Just what?" Kelley asked. "It's been three months since..." Amora explained. "I know what you mean." Kelley said. "But it's felt so much longer..." Amora said in a low tone. Wes then popped in her mind. "Without him...life seems so...empty." Amora said. "Love will do that to you." Kelley said. "Why did it take so long for me to know I love him?" Amora asked. "You both were always butting heads that's how your love showed." Kelley said patting her friend's shoulder. Amora then put her hand on her chest feeling the medallion Wes once wore on his neck. "Why did it have to happen why couldn't...." Amora stifled. "He be a normal person like you and me?" Kelley finished. "Yeah why couldn't he just be a normal jerk." Amora said punching the window. "Life doesn't always plan out the way you want." Kelley told her. "Yeah..." Amora said. Soon the bus came to a complete stop and the two disembarked. "Well i'll see you tomorrow." Kelley said. "Yeah tomorrow." Amora merely brushed it off. Amora climbed the steps to her apartment. She put the key into the lock and opened the door. She looked over to the couch and tv and flashbacked to Wes staying in her apartment. "Snap out of it." Amora slapped herself. Amora later that night entered the bathroom and disrobed. She let the hot water fall on her taking in the steam. "A shower is a good way to clear your head." She sighed turning it off and wrapping a towel around her. She approached the steamy mirror and began wiping away the steam. Suddenly a familiar face was caught in the mirror behind her. "Wes?!" She quickly turned. To her shock the room was empty. "Oh man i'm really losing it." She said to herself. She exited the bathroom and entered her room dropping the towel. She reached into her drawer and grabbed a pair of red underwear. "Heh heh heh..." A perverted chuckle echoed. "Wes you pervert!" She yelled quickly covering herself in the towel. Like before no one was in the room. "What's going on?" She asked herself. Amora laid in her bed wrapping herself in the covers. "Why is this happening?" She asked herself. Memory of Wes kissing her for the first and last time showed in her head. "Is it I miss him so much?" She asked. She then felt a pain in her heart. "I'm lovesick it seems." She said laying her head on the pillow. She closed her eyes and began dreaming. She then woke up to the sun hitting her face. A sweet aroma filled the air. She rose from bed and walked to the kitchen and saw a tall shaggy haired man at the stove. "Oh your awake how did you sleep?" Wes asked walking to her. "Wes?" She asked. "Of course who else would it be?" He asked kissing her cheek. She began to blush. "Let's sit I made you breakfast." He smiled. "H-how are you here?" She asked. "What do you mean?" He asked. "I-I thought..." She stuttered. "Thought what?" He asked. "Nevermind let's eat..." She smiled. The two sat at the table while Wes laid a spread of bacon eggs and many other things all cooked to prefection. "Dig in." He said. She merely smiled. "A dream or not...I don't want to wake up I wanna stay with Wes forever." She thought to herself. Meanwhile in Amora's room she laid in bed sleeping when a figure stepped away from the shadows his long scraggly black in disarray his steel gray eyes looked down at the young girl. "Hey...Amora..." Wes said in a low tone to the sleeping girl. She remained in a deep sleep. Just then he noticed a tear sliding down her cheek. "She's crying...what's wrong?" He asked. Meanwhile in Amora's dream. "Wes!" Amora yelled. Wes stood in a circle of dark flames. Wes listened to the girl muttering in her sleep. "No...Wes don't leave me..." She said in a low tone. Wes then knelt over to the girl. He then wiped her tear from her cheeks. "Amora..." He said in a low voice. He then lightly kissed the sleeping girl's lips. Almost out of instinct in her sleep she wrapped her arms in a loving embrace returning the kiss.
"Wes..." Amora said in a sleepy daze as her eyes opened. When her vision became clear she saw his eyes staring down at her his face a bit red. "Y-you sure know how to plant one." Wes said scratching his cheek in embarassment. "Wes?" She asked slightly scared. "It's me..." He said with a smile. "H-how do I know?" She asked. "That kiss seemed real." He smirked. After a moment of silence she jumped from her bed onto him sending to the ground. "Oh my god your alive!" She cried kissing him over and over again. When she finished he was as red as ripe tomato. "Yeah...i'm back." He smiled. "B-but how?" She asked. He put his hand on her chest touching his medallion. "This...it held onto me and with you it called me back...it called Wes back." He said. She put her hand on his. "You idiot don't you ever do something like that again." She said. "Heh no promises." He chuckled. Amora then stood up and helped Wes up himself. She then pulled him to her bed and wrapped her covers around the two. He merely smiled to her and put his arms around her in a tight embrace. "Don't you ever leave..." She said her eyes becoming heavy. "No..." He said. He then stroked her hair. "Never again..." He said.
